Jessica was born and raised in Northwestern Montana and moved to Bend in 2017. She graduated with her B.S. in Psychology and Journalism and M.S. in Health Promotion from Indiana University-Bloomington. Prior to joining the DCHS Prevention Team, Jessica taught college level courses on substance abuse prevention and various health topics at Indiana University-Bloomington. Jessica also worked as an International Relations Officer for ThaiHealth Promotion Foundation in Bangkok where she focused on substance use prevention and health promotion. Jessica is excited to continue her passion for public health in Deschutes County. When not at work, Jessica enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
